APR: APR Corporate Identity for a Sustainable Viscose Manufacturer
PT Asia Pacific Rayon (APR) is a viscose staple fibre manufacturer in Pangkalan Kerinci, Riau, built as an integrated facility next to its group's pulp operations. Its fibre, made from regenerated cellulose, goes into everyday products such as clothing, home textiles and wipes. Egghead Branding Agency developed APR's logo and corporate identity guidelines in 2017, ahead of the mill's launch.
THE CHALLENGE
APR was a new company entering a global fibre market where buyers care about sustainable supply chains and many consumers misunderstand where viscose comes from. It needed an identity that would read as sustainable, natural and renewable, while still signalling a reliable, high-quality manufacturer to industrial customers.
THE STRATEGY AND SOLUTION
Starting from a brand questionnaire with APR's team and an agency brief, Egghead Branding Agency defined the strategic concept before designing. The identity pairs a green leaf form with a confident navy wordmark: nature and renewability on one side, industrial strength on the other. The system was documented in corporate identity guidelines and applied to stationery, brochures, ID cards, uniforms and vehicle livery.
THE OUTCOME
APR launched with one consistent identity across its first business touchpoints, built around the sustainability message the company wanted to own in its industry.
